Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and approve loan applications by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other pertinent documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and underwriting guidelines.
Assess risk and make informed decisions to mitigate potential losses.
Collaborate with loan officers and clients to gather necessary information and clarify loan terms.
Manage the loan processing team to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor loan performance and compliance, addressing any discrepancies or issues.
Maintain and update loan documentation and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee the recovery process for delinquent or defaulted loans, including negotiating payment plans and managing collections.
Develop and implement strategies to minimize loan losses and improve recovery rates.
Coordinate with legal teams and third-party agencies as needed for collections and legal proceedings.
Analyze recovery data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in loan underwriting, loan operations, and recovery management, typically +2 years.
Strong knowledge of lending regulations, risk management, and recovery strategies.
Experience in managing teams and improving operational processes.
Skills:
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and loan documentation.
Proficient in loan management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
