Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the school. This includes daily cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and offices. The Cleaner plays a vital role in supporting the school's commitment to health and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust classrooms, offices, hallways, and other areas to ensure cleanliness.
Restroom Maintenance: Regularly clean and sanitize restrooms, restocking supplies like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Waste Management: Empty and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas.
Surface Sanitization: Regularly disinfect high-touch areas (e.g., doorknobs, handrails, light switches) to maintain hygiene standards.
Event Support: Assist in setting up and cleaning after events, meetings, and other school functions as needed.
Supply Inventory: Monitor cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to the Facility Officer for timely replenishment.
Safety Practices: Follow all health and safety guidelines, handling cleaning products and equipment responsibly.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred.
Skills:
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
Key Competencies:
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
Reliability and punctuality.
Good communication skills to report issues or maintenance needs.
Work Hours:
Shifts may vary, with potential for early morning, evening, or weekend work based on the school’s schedule.
