Senior Consultant - Strategy Advisory

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical
The Senior Strategy Manager, will be assigned the following primary responsibilities, among others:
• Assist clients in the articulation of their Strategic Intent, including clear Corporate Vision, Mission and Core Values
• Supporting the development and execution of clients’ medium and long-term organizational strategies.
. Drive Extensive Business Development for the Strategy Advisory practice, across the company’s target sectors

Leadership
o Provide strategic support and enable the organization in achieving its vision and mission.
o Create staffing plans for short term, mid-term and long-term strategy projects
o Drive thought leadership that engenders research and development around evolving issues and solutions affecting Strategy Advisory.
o Manage a team responsible for designing strategy frameworks, standards and best practices guidelines.
o Manage project teams of consultants and analysts.

Business Development

o Generate Advisory mandates across diverse sectors, including but not limited to Power, Telecommunications, Energy, Governments, Financial Services, etc.

o Contribute immeasurably to the business development process, including through the identification of new leads.

o Develop and sustain high-level business relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Others

o Develop and sustain partnerships with relevant professional and private networks.

o Track global industry benchmarks, and constantly scan industry opportunities and threats.

o Other duties as assigned by the Head, Advisory.

REQUIREMENTS

Academic

o At least a 2.1 Bachelor’s degree in the business sciences from a top
o A Master’s degree in any business or science-related discipline.
o Other relevant certifications and membership of professional associations will be an added advantage.

Work experience

o Minimum 8 years of experience in managing Strategy projects.
o Experience with Risk Management Advisory will be an advantage.

o A minimum of three (3) years’ experience at a leadership level.

Leadership

o Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.

o Team-building skills and ability to coach team members.

Others

o Excellent and proven business development skills
o Proven success in business development across sectors such as Energy, Power, Telecommunications and Financial services

o Solid knowledge and a good grasp of socio-economic and development issues across the globe.

o Competence in using standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); SAP knowledge is desirable.

o Strong work ethics with a high degree of passion and commitment.
