Job Description
The Chief of Staff (CoS) supports the CEO and executive leadership in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing internal processes, and ensuring operational efficiency. As the right-hand to the CEO, the CoS plays a key role in shaping company culture, aligning departments with business goals, and managing high-priority projects to drive growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to set organizational goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
Lead and oversee strategic projects from ideation through completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Support the CEO in evaluating and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments.
Operations Management
Develop and maintain efficient workflows, processes, and communication channels to improve organizational performance.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and remove roadblocks that hinder productivity.
Act as a point of contact for department heads, facilitating resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Manage communication between the CEO and internal or external stakeholders, including board members, investors, and partners.
Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for key stakeholders, ensuring timely and transparent communication of company performance and strategy.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, representing their perspectives and making informed decisions on their behalf.
Leadership Support
Assist in prioritizing CEO tasks, managing time effectively, and ensuring preparedness for high-level meetings and engagements.
Coordinate with executive team members to align their efforts with organizational priorities and address critical issues.
Oversee the CEO’s calendar, schedule meetings, and organize company-wide events or retreats as needed.
Culture and Team Development
Champion company values, foster a positive work culture, and advocate for employee engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with HR to drive leadership development programs and improve team morale.
Support onboarding and orientation of new executives or department heads.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Conduct research and analyze data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
Track the progress of initiatives, generate reports, and offer recommendations to optimize performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in a similar support or leadership role; prior experience in consulting, project management, or executive support is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
High emotional intelligence with the ability to work well with various personalities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and data analysis software.
