Job Description

Job Summary:
The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement process by assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves conducting market research, processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to suppliers.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Conduct research on potential suppliers and products, analyzing market trends and pricing to support procurement decisions.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and reordering supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Prepare and assist in the generation of reports on procurement activities, including spending analysis and supplier performance.
• Work closely with other departments, such as finance and operations, to coordinate procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and conducting supplier audits as necessary to ensure quality and reliability.
• Support efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform desk-based tasks and occasional lifting of supplies or materials.
Working Conditions:
• The role is primarily office-based but may involve occasional visits to suppliers and warehouses.
Salary:
50.000,00 NGN Monthly
