Job Description
Location: Lagos
The accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations. This role includes
maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with
relevant financial regulations, and supporting project budgeting and cost management to drive the
firm’s success.
1. Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable,
payroll, and budgeting.
2. Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal utilization of funds.
3. Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management, including profit/loss
statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
4. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual budget performance reviews.
5. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare required filings.
6. Oversee audits and ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards.
7. Track project budgets and costs, ensuring profitability on architectural projects.
8. Advise on cost-saving strategies while maintaining high-quality operations.
9. Maintain and improve the firm’s accounting systems and processes.
10. Implement accounting software and ensure its efficient use.
11. Handle financial transactions, including vendor payments and client invoices.
12. Maintain records of fixed assets and inventory.
Qualifications and Skills
Bsc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
Proven managerial experience in accounting, preferably in the architectural, construction, or
creative industries.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
