Job Description
Department: Interior Design and Construction
Location: Lekki , Lagos
Reports To: Design Architect
Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of interior design and construction projects. This role involves coordinating with clients, team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination:
Develop project schedules, timelines, and action plans.
Coordinate tasks between design teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
Client Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, updating them on project progress.
Address client concerns, gather feedback, and incorporate changes as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Support design and construction teams with necessary resources and information.
Ensure seamless communication between all project stakeholders.
Monitor team performance and provide support to meet project goals.
Budget & Resource Management:
Monitor project budgets and ensure spending aligns with project goals.
Source materials, negotiate with vendors, and manage procurement activities.
Track project expenses and prepare budget reports.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and design plans.
Prepare and submit regular status updates to management and clients.
Problem Solving & Risk Management:
Identify potential issues or risks and implement solutions to avoid project delays.
Address and resolve on-site challenges in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background: A degree in Project Management, Architecture,Building, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related fields.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in interior design or construction.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana).
Basic knowledge of design and construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed.
