Transport Manager

Job Summary:
The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the company’s transportation department. This role ensures efficient scheduling, compliance with regulations, vehicle maintenance, and the effective management of drivers and support staff. The Transport Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing transport operations to achieve company goals while ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
*Supervise and manage the transportation team, including drivers and support staff.
*Plan and schedule deliveries and pickups to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
*Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
*Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
*Implement and enforce safety procedures and company policies.
*Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and driver logs.
*Address any transport-related issues, delays, or disruptions promptly
*Assist in budgeting and cost control measures related to transport operations.

Qualifications & Skills:
*Proven experience in transportation or logistics management, preferably in a supervisory role.
*Strong knowledge of transport regulations and fleet management.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills.
*Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
*Valid driver’s license (Commercial Driver’s License preferred in some cases)
