Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Vale Finance Limited, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to uncover business trends, optimize financial processes, and support decision-making across multiple teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders from different departments, including finance, risk, product, and customer experience, to develop data-driven strategies that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Extraction & Analysis: Utilize SQL, Power BI, and Excel to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources.

2. Business Insights & Reporting: Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business performance monitoring.

3. Problem-Solving: Identify business challenges, analyze patterns, and recommend data-driven solutions.

4. Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products, marketing campaigns, and financial operations.

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with finance, operations, risk, and product teams to provide data-backed recommendations.

6. Automation & Efficiency: Assist in automating data processes and improving reporting structures for scalability.

7. Data Integrity & Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data used for business decisions.


Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

Experience:

1. 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.

2. Experience in FinTech, banking, or financial services is an advantage.


Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.

2. Strong Power BI skills to build interactive dashboards and reports.

3. Advanced Excel knowledge, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.

4. Understanding of database structures and query optimization.

5. Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and visualization.

6. Knowledge of Python or R for advanced data analysis (a plus but not mandatory).
