Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
Gather, organize, and manage data from various construction projects, including timelines, budgets, labor, materials, and equipment.
Collect data from project management software, on-site reports, and other sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze construction-related data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Create detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for project managers, executives, and other stakeholders, summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide actionable insights to help improve project performance and achieve targets.
Project Monitoring & Forecasting:
Track project progress against timelines, budgets, and resource utilization to ensure projects stay on track.
Forecast potential risks and suggest corrective actions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
Develop and maintain forecasting models for project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
Assist in the development of strategies to improve project performance based on data insights.
Data Visualization:
Develop data visualizations and interactive dashboards that effectively communicate complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
Use data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, based on data insights, to streamline construction operations.
Stay updated with the latest construction industry trends and data analysis tools to continually enhance analytical capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Proven experience (2+ years) in data analysis, preferably within the construction industry or project management.
Strong proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and statistical tools.
Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms) is a plus.
Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and industry terminology.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.).
Experience with cost estimation, scheduling, and resource management in construction.
Familiarity with database management and SQL is a plus.
Certification or experience in Lean Construction or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
