Job Description
OTAs assist with implementing treatment plans developed by the OT, which may include activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, and using assistive devices.
Provide therapeutic interventions:
They help patients with activities designed to improve their functional abilities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and performing work or leisure activities.
Document patient progress:
OTAs document patient progress and report it to the OT, contributing to the overall treatment plan.
Educate patients and families:
They provide education and guidance to patients and their families on how to manage their conditions and improve their functional abilities.
Assist with equipment:
They help with the use of specialized equipment and adapt environments to meet the needs of patients.
