Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Scientist to join our medical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting complex tests on patient samples, analyzing results, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory data to support medical diagnoses and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, and tissue samples.
• Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens.
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Follow quality control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Document all procedures, results, and observations accurately.
• Participate in proficiency testing and internal audits.
• Stay updated with advances in laboratory science and technology.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Valid certification and/or license from a recognized regulatory body.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Special Clause:
• Must reside at Ado, Nyanya, Mararaba and its environs.
