Job Description
Responsibilities:
Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage export documentation, including shipping manifests, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and suppliers, to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external parties regarding shipment status, issues, and resolutions.
Problem-solving: Identify and resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs discrepancies, or other logistics challenges.
Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor shipments throughout the export process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agreed-upon timelines.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of logistics partners and vendors.
Process Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance logistics operations.
Inventory Management: Provide support for inventory management and warehousing activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field is often preferred.
Experience:
Relevant experience in export operations, logistics, or supply chain management is highly valued.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
Proficiency in relevant software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
Attention to detail and accuracy .
Knowledge of Incoterms and import/export compliance regulations .
Understanding of international trade practices and regulations .
Ability to work independently and as part of a team .
Certifications:
Certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related areas are a plus.
