Job Description

Job Title: Medical Officer (Oncologist)
Location: Benin, Edo State

Objective:
To provide high-quality medical oncology care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through quality assurance, clinical protocol development, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Department: Medical Oncology

Reporting: Functionally reports to the Centre Manager

Experience: 3-5 years

Working Relationships:

- Internal: All departments
- External: Clients, potential clients, service providers, and partners

Responsibilities:

1. Establish new cancer centers by training staff and implementing SOPs.
2. Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
3. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
4. Review medical oncology cases to ensure clinical accuracy and appropriateness of treatment.
5. Ensure treatments align with international standards and evidence-based practices.
6. Deliver training sessions and workshops for staff.
7. Mentor junior oncologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
8. Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating oncology treatment protocols.
9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment decision-making.
10. Collaborate with specialists to develop integrated treatment strategies.
11. Review and analyze patient outcomes to identify patterns and propose improvements.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
2. Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology or related specialty.
3. Proven ability to lead quality assurance initiatives and manage clinical audits.
4. Strong understanding of oncology treatment protocols and evidence-based practices.
5. Experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration and delivering case consultations.
6. Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
7. Active involvement in professional oncology organizations.
8. Familiarity with current technologies and advancements in oncology treatment and research.
Salary:
₦400,000.00 Monthly
