Job Description

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Pipeline Field Specialist (Intelligent Pigging Services) based on-site in Nigeria. The Pipeline Field Specialist will be responsible for inspecting pipelines for issues like corrosion, cracks, and metal loss, enabling proactive maintenance and preventing costly failures. conducting inspections, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities also include coordinating with clients, providing customer service, and training junior staff members.

Job Description
Familiar with managing multiple processes and interfacing with entities which include Engineering, Planning, Co-ordination, Operations, External Contractors and Management
Experienced in managing multiple site execution teams in particular offshore locations
Demonstrated knowledge in pig design fundamentals, setup and technologies integrated for pipeline cleaning, caliper and geometry inspection, and ILI
Demonstrated knowledge in interpreting pipeline design, pig trap design and operating regime for pigging
Demonstrated understanding of procedures for conventional and non-conventional pigging operations, and pipeline drawings which include P&IDs, pipeline alignment sheets, isometric drawings and as-built drawings
Experienced in developing and reviewing standard industry Pipeline Pigging Questionnaires and verifying technical information in compliance with standard industry reporting templates
Experienced in developing pigging and contingencies related flowcharts, work plans and procedures
Experienced in training and mentoring multiple crews in performing pigging execution related scopes of services
Experienced working in a multicultural and team environment Able to manage and provide on the job training/mentoring to site execution crew and Operations personnel.
should be able to Assess Pipeline condition by running a gauge plate pig followed by a Cleaning Pig and a Geometry Pig
Experienced in Pig launching and retrieval, can Interpret Intelligent Pig And Geometry Pig log and submit reports of the defects in line with SGSI standards and procedures.
Experienced in Pumping Services and Valve servicing
Drafting of Intelligent pigging work plans and methodology, Stocking of descaling chemicals, tools, spares
Carry out Descaling using Chemicals in conjunction with Mechanical pigs
Coordinate mobilization of all IP Jobs
Run gauge, Geometry run and Retrieve data
Stuck Pig removal
Leak Detection Pig in Gas Lines
Flowline and non-piggable line inspection- periodic inspection through general visual inspection, external painting/coating inspection, status of CP system, UT measurements, pit gauge, bell hole measurement, inspection of supports and occasional internal crawler (RTD) inspection or similar.
Knowledge on the planning and application of pigging operation (selection of effective pigs, contingency planning
Technical Knowledge of use of chemicals and specialized tools from manufacturers.
Knowledge on the preventive maintenance of valves and other pigging Equipment
Technical knowledge on corrosion Management
Practical experience of valve maintenance.
Pigging of low-pressure gas lines using Nitrogen
Internal survey of SBM pipelines using Crawler Tools

Basic application of pigging which includes
-Process for pigging operation
-Requirements for Pigging
-Pipeline pig ability
-Progressive Pigging
-Selection of Pigging equipment
-Pig launching and retrieving procedure
-Reporting requirement
The ideal candidate should have experience with IOC and Marginal Field Operators relationship building and business generation.

Qualifications
B.Eng or equivalent qualification in technical/science discipline
Professional certification by relevant professional bodies such as NACE, COREN and PIPE (Professional Institute of Pipeline Engineers) shall be an added advantage
Minimum 5-10 years of program execution experience in Specialist or Field Service Engineer capacity related to pipeline scope of services which shall include exploratory pigging, pre-inspection cleaning, intelligent pigging/in-line inspection(ILI), operational pigging, hydro-testing, flushing, de-oiling, and pigging facility upgrade
Good written and oral communication skills in English
High safety awareness track record.
Strong Analytical Skills and Troubleshooting abilities
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
Experience in providing Training and mentoring to team members
Proficiency in regulatory compliance and safety standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is advantageous
Salary:
₦300,000.00 Monthly
