About the Role:
The Senior Geologist would be responsible for conducting advanced geological research, analysis and fieldwork to support exploration, environmental, engineering or geotechnical projects. They will lead geological teams, interpret complex data and provide insights that guide decision-making in land development and environmental conservation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in site assessments, material testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures for geological and geotechnical projects.
• Analyse soil, rock, and construction materials for suitability.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and project specifications.
• Provide technical expertise in geological risk assessment.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
• Utilize GIS software, 3D modeling, and remote sensing technologies for geological assessments.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2nd class lower degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and QA/QC.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and testing methods.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software and reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
