Job Description

Purpose
The ELV Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and corrective actions of ELV systems. This includes IP CCTV systems, Access Control, Security Systems, Motorized Gates, Inverter & Battery Backup Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Data Networks, Smart Home Automation, and Lighting Control Systems. The ELV Engineer will work on-site, ensuring that systems meet the client's requirements while adhering to Off-Field's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning: Develop detailed designs and layouts for ELV systems based on project requirements and industry standards as well as prepare detailed project plans.
Coordination & Resource Management: Work with Site Supervisors or System Engineers to schedule subcontractors, order materials, and oversee system implementation to ensure projects meet quality, time, and budget targets. Ensuring all tools and materials are properly maintained and safeguarded.
Installation & Oversight: undertake, manage as well as supervise installation activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications.
Testing & Commissioning: Conduct system tests to verify functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with client requirements.
Documentation: Prepare detailed project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and compliance reports.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate current systems and propose upgrades or modifications to improve performance and reliability.
System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance checks, diagnose faults, and carry out necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance. Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
Site Supervision: Manage and lead laborers/helpers to ensure effective and timely system installations and repairs. Oversee adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
Technical Support & Training: Provide technical guidance to team members during system installations and maintenance activities.
Reporting: Prepare periodic reports detailing personal work activities, project progress, maintenance activities, and system performance.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to site safety protocols, ethical practices, and company policies to foster a productive working environment.
Emergency Support: Be available for after-hours emergency assistance as required.
Other Duties: Perform tasks as assigned by the supervisor, following the authority matrix.

Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field (ICT background is a plus).
3-5 years of experience working with IT/ELV security systems, including IP CCTV, Access Control, Data Networks & Structured Cabling, and associated systems.
Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools.
Strong field service technical skills with a proven track record in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ELV systems.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC) and best practices.
Expertise in networking and troubleshooting of IT/ELV systems.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and implement system design.
Ability to follow instructions and complete technical report documentation;
Ability to foster good relationships with colleagues and be a good team player;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
