Inventory officer

The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring proper storage of goods, and conducting regular stock audits. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that stock levels meet business demands and that inventory losses are minimized.

Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.

Track inventory levels and ensure stock is organized and properly stored.

Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with inventory software.

Monitor stock usage and report on inventory discrepancies or low stock levels.

Coordinate with procurement and other departments regarding restocking needs.

Maintain up-to-date inventory records using ERP or inventory management software.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational policies in stock handling.

Investigate inventory variances and take corrective actions.

Support internal and external audits related to inventory.

Dispose of obsolete or expired inventory in line with company procedures.
