Job Description
Location: Aba, Abia State, Nigeria
Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000
Accommodation: Provided for the first 3 months
Preferred Candidate: Female
Candidate Requirement: Must reside in Aba or a nearby state, or be willing to relocate

About the Program – Fashion Future Program (FFP)
The Fashion Future Program empowers young fashion entrepreneurs, particularly women, by providing them with training, mentorship, and access to resources in garment production, footwear, and leatherwork industries.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Gender & Safeguarding Officer to drive inclusive practices and uphold participant safety within our programs. This role focuses on supporting women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) while ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement gender inclusion strategies
Embed gender-sensitive approaches into all training and mentorship programs
Create resources and tools that promote gender equity
Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and apply mitigation measures
Organize training and awareness sessions on safeguarding policies
Collaborate with local organizations and government agencies
Ensure alignment with global best practices for gender and safeguarding
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, or related fields
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in gender equality, safeguarding, or inclusion
Deep knowledge of gender-sensitive policies and risk management
Experience working with marginalized groups (especially women and PWDs)
Strong ethical values and commitment to participant welfare
Relocation Note
Willing candidates who are open to relocating to Aba are welcome to apply.
Please note that while accommodation will be provided for the first 3 months, there will be no relocation allowance.
