Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Perform a broad range of laboratory tests and procedures in areas including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, blood transfusion, and hormonal assays relevant to fertility investigations.
* Analyze and interpret laboratory test results, including hormone levels, ensuring accuracy and clinical correlation.
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments, including those used for specialized hormone analysis.
* Implement and adhere to stringent quality control procedures and participate in quality assurance programs.
* Prepare reagents, stains, and control materials according to established protocols.
* Collect, process, and ensure proper handling and storage of various biological specimens, including those for sensitive hormone testing.
* Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential records of all tests performed, results, and quality control data.
* Strictly adhere to all laboratory safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and waste management procedures.
* Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures, particularly those related to reproductive endocrinology.
* Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated with current best practices and advancements in laboratory medicine through continuous professional development.
* Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
