WE ARE HIRING AT THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE FOR CHARTERED ARBITRATORS.

Position Title: Head, Training Department
Department: Training
Reports To: Registrar/CEO
Location: [Lagos, Nigeria]

The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) is the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria founded in 1979 under the leadership of former Attorney General of Nigeria and former judge of the World Court at The Hague, Judge Bola Ajibola, SAN, KBE and duly incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee.

Since 1979, the Nigerian Institute has been at the forefront of promoting the domestication, knowledge and practice of arbitration and ADR in Nigeria and has gained a reputation as the preferred appointing authority and arbitration handling institution for a broad spectrum of commercial disputants.

Job Description for Head of Training.

1. Develop and maintain the annual training calendar and schedule.
2. Oversee the design and development of training materials, presentations, and resources to support learning objectives and outcomes.
3. Continuously recruit facilitators at intervals to have a sufficient pool of facilitators for the Institute‘s qualification training
4. Monitor and evaluate training delivery and effectiveness, making adjustments to improve outcomes.
5. Put in place strategy for the continued recruitment of learners for the Institute‘s qualifications
6. Marketing the training products and services to institutions, corporate, and retail learners to ensure a funnel that delivers continuous demand for the Institute's qualifications.
7. Track and report on training metrics and KPIs to measure the impact and ROI of training programs.
8. Supervise subordinates and lead the department to achieve corporate objectives.
9. Build and maintain relationships with partner institutions and organisations.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.

Required Qualification:
1. First degree in the relevant field
2. Master’s degree in a relevant field
3. Relevant professional qualification in training, Arbitration & ADR will be an added advantage.
4. 15 years of experience in corporate and retail training delivery and management in a training provider environment.

Required skillset.
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
• Project management skills for managing training initiatives and activities.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities to inspire and motivate your team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience with learning management systems and other training technology.
