Weighbridge operator

The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for accurately weighing vehicles entering and exiting the site, recording relevant data, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations. This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory, billing, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Operating the Weighbridge: Accurately weigh vehicles using the weighbridge system, ensuring correct positioning of vehicles on the platform.
* Data Entry and Record Keeping: Input vehicle details (e.g., registration number, driver information, material type, destination) and weights into the weighbridge software or manual logs with precision.
* Generating Weighbridge Tickets: Issue accurate and legible weighbridge tickets to drivers and maintain a systematic record of all transactions.
* Verification and Inspection: Verify the type of material being transported against documentation and visually inspect loads for any discrepancies or safety concerns.
* Communication: Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other relevant personnel regarding weighing procedures, discrepancies, and site access.
* Maintaining Equipment: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the weighbridge and surrounding area to ensure its proper functioning and safety. Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
* Adherence to Procedures: Follow established company policies, procedures, and safety regulations related to weighbridge operations and site access.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to weighing and documentation.
* Problem Solving: Address minor issues or discrepancies that may arise during the weighing process and escalate more complex problems to the supervisor.
* Customer Service: Provide polite and professional service to drivers and visitors.
* Security Awareness: Be vigilant and report any suspicious activities or unauthorized access to the site.
