JOB DESCRIPTION

* Prepare, cook, and present traditional African dishes, ensuring authenticity, quality, and presentation meet company standards.
* Select, prepare, and store ingredients for African cuisine, ensuring freshness and quality.
* Familiarize and work with a wide range of African cooking techniques and recipes from different regions.
* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation in the kitchen.
* Follow recipes, menus, and instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
* Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and consistency.
* Work efficiently to prepare dishes during peak hours while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
* Assist in managing inventory, including ordering ingredients, and ensuring all kitchen supplies are stocked.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
* Stay updated on new trends in African culinary arts and incorporate them into menu offerings when appropriate.
* Provide exceptional customer service by preparing dishes that meet customer expectations and dietary preferences.

REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience in cooking African dishes, either professionally or personally.
* Familiarity with traditional African cooking methods, ingredients, and spices.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for African cuisine.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Ability to adapt recipes to meet customer needs or dietary restrictions.
