Job Description

Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)
Budget: NGN 800,000 to NGN1,000,000 Monthly Net
Job Description (Summary):
As a Chartered Accountant, you will be responsible for leading financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the business’s profitability and growth strategy. You will be expected to manage budgeting, reporting, cash flow, inventory controls, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all accounting and financial operations of the distributorship business.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support decision-making.
Monitor inventory, cash flow, and financial controls to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
Ensure full compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory reporting obligations.
Provide strategic recommendations and financial insights to improve business performance.
Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting and finance staff as necessary.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline and ICAN Certification (mandatory).
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or distributorship.
Demonstrated ability to manage finances in a fast-paced business environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, cost management, and margin optimization.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or other ERP platforms.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Strategic mindset with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
