Job Description
Job Title: Experienced Continental Chef (Private Residence – Live-Out)
Location: [Lagos]
Salary : 250k to 300k Naira
Overview:
A private household is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continental Chef to prepare high-quality meals in a live-out capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international and continental cuisine, with an emphasis on taste, presentation, and nutritional balance. This is a full-time role based in a private home, requiring discretion, professionalism, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) for the family, focusing on continental cuisine
Create weekly menus based on dietary preferences, seasonal ingredients, and nutritional needs
Shop for fresh ingredients, manage pantry inventory, and maintain proper food storage
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, hygienic, and organized at all times
Cater for small private events or occasional entertaining as needed
Accommodate special dietary requirements or restrictions (e.g., gluten-free, low-carb, vegetarian)
Coordinate with other household staff to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a professional chef, with a focus on continental cuisine
Previous experience in private households preferred
Culinary certification or formal training highly desirable
Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work independently, with discretion and confidentiality
Must be able to commute daily to the residence (live-out role)
Flexibility to adjust menus and schedules based on household needs
