Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Associate to support day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely data entry
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure accurate ledger balances
Process vendor payments and track accounts payable/receivable
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
Ensure tax and statutory compliance (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT, company income tax)
Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors as needed
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation
Identify process improvements and support automation initiatives

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
1–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and financial reporting standards
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Professional certification or progress towards ICAN, ACCA, or CFA is a plus
