Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Menu Planning: Develop menus, plan daily specials, and create new recipes.
Inventory Management: Order and manage food and supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records.
Kitchen Operations: Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance.
Quality Control: Ensure food is of high quality, presented attractively, and served on time.
Adaptability: Modify recipes to accommodate customer requests or dietary needs.
Communication: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, wait staff, and customers.
Safety and Sanitation: Follow food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Problem-solving: Address issues that arise in the kitchen, such as equipment malfunctions or recipe adjustments.
Skills and Requirements:
Culinary Knowledge: Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
Kitchen Equipment Proficiency: Experience with various kitchen equipment and tools.
Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff and communicate effectively.
Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
