Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated High Voltage Electrician to join our power operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-voltage systems, a strong safety mindset, and a proven ability to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in a power generation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments and tools.
• Participate in the design and installation of electrical control cabinets and wiring systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with team members to support plant operations and minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education:
• Associate degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation, or a related field.
• Certifications:
• Valid Special Operations Permit for High Voltage Electricians (required).
• Preference will be given to candidates with both high voltage testing and dual high/low voltage electrician certifications.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-voltage electrical maintenance.
• Prior work in large-scale natural gas power plants or substation systems is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Solid understanding of power system fundamentals.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools, meters, and diagnostic instruments.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring design, control panel layout, and component selection.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and respond to electrical emergencies effectively.
• Health and Professionalism:
• Physically fit and medically cleared to perform high-voltage tasks.
• Able to work on a rotating shift schedule.
• High sense of responsibility, attention to safety, and strong teamwork spirit.
