Job Field: Accounting / Finance

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have experience in hospitality accounting and a strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA/HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA) is a plus.

5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in downstream, midstream, upstream, or EPCI companies.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Opera PMS, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, CIT, etc.).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries.

Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Ensure tax compliance and assist in tax return preparations.

Monitor financial performance and support budgeting/forecasting.

Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions.

Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.

Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and industry standards.
