Job Description

The Salon Manager oversees daily operations of the salon to ensure excellent customer service, profitable sales, and efficient staff performance. The role involves managing staff schedules, maintaining salon hygiene standards, driving sales targets, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management

Supervise daily salon operations to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Ensure the salon is clean, organised, and equipped at all times.

Manage appointment bookings and walk-in clients efficiently.

Staff Management

Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise salon staff (stylists, therapists, receptionists, cleaners).

Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure adequate coverage for all services.

Handle staff performance, motivation, discipline, and conflict resolution.

Customer Service

Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve client complaints professionally.

Develop strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

Sales and Financial Management

Monitor daily sales and prepare financial reports for management.

Achieve sales targets through effective upselling of services and products.

Manage inventory, stock ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure availability of products.

Marketing and Promotion

Plan and execute promotional activities and social media marketing to increase salon visibility.

Maintain relationships with clients and promote loyalty programs.

Health and Safety Compliance

Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards.

Monitor sterilisation of tools and cleanliness of workstations.Skills:

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Good organisational and time management abilities.

Basic knowledge of salon equipment and beauty treatments.

Proficiency in MS Office and salon management software (advantage).
