Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Corporate Credit & Risk Lawyer This dual-role position requires a candidate with sound legal expertise and a keen understanding of credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Legal & Compliance Duties:
Draft, review, and interpret contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Ensure the company’s operations comply with all regulatory and legal requirements.
Represent the company in legal matters where necessary.
Advise management on legal risks, rights, and obligations.

Credit & Risk Functions:
Evaluate loan applications and financial data to assess creditworthiness.
Identify and mitigate risks in credit and lending processes.
Develop and monitor risk management policies and frameworks.
Monitor loan performance and recommend actions for delinquent accounts.

Requirements
LL.B and B.L from a recognized institution.
2–3 years of relevant post-NYSC experience in a corporate law or financial services environment.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, contract law, credit risk management, and compliance.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credit assessment tools.
