Job Description

The Technical Sales Manager will drive revenue growth and expand market share for food raw materials. This role involves developing sales strategies, providing technical support, and cultivating key customer relationships, while leading a sales team to meet performance targets in the B2B food industry.

Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the execution of sales strategies to increase the customer base for food raw materials and expand market share to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Use data and analytics to formulate and measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.
Drive market development activities to align with company business goals, ensuring strategic alignment in sourcing, sales, and marketing strategies.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, customer needs, and competitor initiatives, devising strategies to utilize market opportunities optimally.
Recognize and develop strategies to pursue new market segments and business development opportunities with realistic forecasts.
Maintain close relationships with principals and negotiate favourable trading terms.
Provide continuous nationwide technical support to customers through a consultative sales approach.
Foster strong relationships with key customers and expand the business portfolio.
Oversee the profiling and conversion of key prospects to explore new business opportunities.
Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and sales bids to prospective customers.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members, managing performance to achieve monthly budgets and overall team objectives.
Oversee the planning and execution of technical training sessions and seminars nationwide in consultation with principal partners for customers.
Coordinate sales activities nationwide, ensuring qualitative service delivery and compliance with standard policies and procedures.
Monitor product stock levels and oversee the reorder process.
Work closely with the Supply Chain department to ensure proper storage and timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
Prepare and compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the General Manager and Managing Director.
Ensure that data is processed for its intended purpose and maintain absolute confidentiality while processing or using personal data. Obtain consent from data subjects before collecting, processing, and using their data.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is an advantage.
Professional Certification: Certification in Marketing or Sales.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in driving sales of food raw materials, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong product knowledge to enhance consultative selling and provide technical support to customers.
Ability to forecast sales accurately, advise on pricing strategies, and conduct sales performance analysis.
Proven experience in developing and implementing winning sales strategies in the B2B food industry.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate a sales team to meet and exceed targets.
Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
