Job Description

The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction within the supermarket. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing sales staff, ensuring proper inventory levels, and assisting in the execution of sales strategies. The Assistant Sales Manager also helps in resolving customer complaints and optimizing the in-store shopping experience.
Assist the Sales Manager in achieving sales targets and improving profitability.
Monitor sales performance and recommend improvements to increase store sales.
Participate in promotional campaigns and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
Help train staff on providing excellent customer service.
Help monitor product levels, stock replenishment, and stock rotation to minimize shrinkage.
Assist with the proper display and merchandising of products.
Review daily and weekly sales reports, providing insights to the Sales Manager.
Track sales performance against goals and suggest adjustments to achieve targets.
Assist in generating sales reports for management meetings.
