Job Title: CCTV Monitor
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and vigilant CCTV Monitor to oversee and ensure the safety and security of our premises through continuous monitoring of surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will identify suspicious activities, respond to security incidents promptly, and provide accurate reports for further action.

Key Responsibilities:
Surveillance Monitoring:
Monitor live CCTV feeds and recorded footage to detect any irregular, unauthorized, or suspicious activity.
Ensure all cameras and equipment are operational and report any technical issues immediately.
Incident Reporting:
Document and report incidents or breaches of security promptly to the Security Supervisor or relevant authorities.
Maintain accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observed events during shifts.
Access Control:
Assist in monitoring entry and exit points to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
Alert security personnel of unauthorized access or activities in restricted areas.
System Maintenance:
Perform basic checks on the CCTV system to ensure functionality, including camera angles, recording clarity, and power supply.
Coordinate with technical teams for maintenance or repairs of equipment.
Emergency Response:
Act as the first point of contact in case of emergencies, such as fire, theft, or vandalism, by notifying relevant authorities.
Provide visual support to security teams during live incidents for effective response.
Policy Adherence:
Comply with company policies regarding confidentiality, data protection, and ethical practices while handling surveillance data.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the security system.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Training or certification in CCTV operation, security systems, or related fields is a plus.
Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., CCTV monitoring, security operations) is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to stay focused during long monitoring periods.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CCTV and recording equipment
Effective communication and reporting abilities.
Quick decision-making and ability to stay calm under pressure.
Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
