Job Description

Job Summary: The Art and Craft Facilitator is responsible for planning, organising, and facilitating art and craft sessions tailored to the needs and skill levels of participants. This role involves creating a welcoming environment, preparing necessary materials, and guiding participants through various artistic projects to enhance their creativity and artistic abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Implementation:

Develop and execute a diverse range of art and craft activities suitable for participants' ages and skill levels.
Ensure activities are adaptable and inclusive, allowing all participants to engage meaningfully.
Prepare and organise materials and equipment required for each session.
Facilitation:

Lead art and craft sessions, providing clear instructions and demonstrations.
Encourage participant engagement, creativity, and self-expression.
Offer individualised support and feedback to participants as needed.
Environment Management:

Set up and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for activities.
Ensure all tools and materials are used safely and responsibly.
Manage the organisation and storage of art supplies and equipment.
Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other team members to plan sessions and coordinate resources.
Communicate effectively with participants, providing guidance and encouragement.
Promote upcoming sessions and events through social media and other channels.
Administrative Duties:

Maintain attendance records and track participant progress.
Assist in budgeting for materials and manage inventory.
Prepare reports on session outcomes and participant feedback.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in art and craft facilitation or a related field.
Strong artistic skills across various mediums and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work with diverse groups and adapt activities to meet varying needs.
Organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety standards related to art materials and activities.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in art, education, or a related discipline are advantageous.
Working Conditions:

Flexible with working hours, weekends, may be required.
Physical activity, including setting up equipment and assisting participants, is part of the role.
Travel to different locations for workshops or events may be necessary.
