Job Brief:
We are looking for an experienced Insurance Unit Manager for our client in the Insurance sector, to oversee our business operations in Lagos. The Unit Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Financial Advisors.
Responsibility:
- Ensuring that all Financial Advisors are performing their duties effectively and efficiently
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the department or unit
- Providing leadership and guidance to Advisors including coaching them on best practices
- Maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedure
- Ensuring that all company policies are being followed and recommending changes when necessary
- Reviewing reports and statistics to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity and efficiency
- Coordinating with other departments such as accounting and human resources to ensure smooth operations
- Developing and enforcing rules and procedures to ensure that the workplace runs smoothly
- Promote a positive work environment that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a high-performing team
- Manage day-to-day operations of the unit, including budgeting, and equipment maintenance
- Ensure that unit policies and procedures are followed and that staff members are held accountable for their performance
- Investigate complaints and incidents, taking appropriate corrective action when necessary
- Serve on committees and task forces at the request of the Director
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements;
- Must be a graduate with any of the following qualifications HND, BSC, MBA etc in any discipline.
- Must have been a unit manager from another insurance company.
- Must have and come with a minimum of 3 marketers.
Benefits:
- Basic allowance of 45k with minimum production of 500k monthly in both life and general businesses. Allowance increases as production increases i.e.there is no limit to what one can earn.
- 12.5% ORC on life businesses and 1% net on general businesses.
- Commission will be paid on all direct businesses .
- Group life of 1M
- Any other benefits given by the company.
