Location: Ikosi Ketu, Lagos
Salary: ₦250,000 per month
Job Summary
A furniture manufacturing company in Ikosi Ketu, Lagos, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop, program, and operate CNC woodworking machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, creating CNC programs, and ensuring precision in the cutting, shaping, and assembly of furniture components.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and write CNC programs for woodworking machinery.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for cutting, drilling, and shaping wood materials.
Optimize machine operations to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machine-related issues.
Collaborate with designers and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field.
2-3+ years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a furniture or woodworking environment.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in CNC machining.
