Job Description
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Salary: 180,000-200,000
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Technical Architect to join a furniture manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the technical aspects of furniture production, ensuring structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. This role requires expertise in technical drawing, material selection, and collaboration with designers and production teams to bring furniture concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for furniture designs using CAD software.
Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness of furniture pieces.
Select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction methods to enhance durability and aesthetics.
Oversee the prototyping and manufacturing process to ensure compliance with design and technical specifications.
Conduct structural analysis to ensure stability and longevity of furniture products.
Provide technical support and recommendations to optimize production efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative furniture-making techniques.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in furniture manufacturing.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical architecture, preferably within the furniture or woodworking industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other architectural design software.
Strong knowledge of furniture materials, joinery techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and production teams.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
