Job Description

Job Summary
The Radiographer will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring the highest quality of images, and prioritizing patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and compassionate towards patients.

Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and other scans
Operate and calibrate radiographic equipment to ensure optimal imaging results.
Follow standard imaging protocols while adapting techniques based on patient conditions.
Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures.
Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns to ensure a comfortable experience.
Monitor patients during scans and provide immediate assistance if needed.
Ensure adherence to radiation protection and safety guidelines to minimize exposure risks.
Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and communicate imaging results.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and imaging reports.
Assist in making diagnostic decisions by providing high-quality radiographic evidence.
Ensure that all imaging equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly.
Adhere to local and international radiography standards, medical regulations, and facility policies.
Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated with advancements in radiographic techniques.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
Valid practicing license from the relevant regulatory body.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiographer in a hospital or diagnostic center.
Proficiency in operating a variety of imaging equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound etc.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, anatomy, pathology, and medical imaging techniques.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment and handle emergency cases.
