As a Travel Consultant, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on travel options, creating customized travel itineraries, and ensuring seamless travel experiences. Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends in the travel industry.
• Provide exceptional customer service by advising clients on travel options, including destinations, travel dates, costs, and accommodations, to meet their travel needs and preferences.
• Create customized travel itineraries, including flight bookings, hotel reservations, and travel insurance, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, visa regulations, and destination information to provide accurate and relevant advice to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver personalized travel services and solutions.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
• Handle client inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and sales pitches to potential clients and partners.
• Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Stay abreast of the latest travel industry developments, technological advancements, and marketing trends to drive innovation and uphold our competitive edge.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Travel and Tourism, Business, or a related field; HND or OND preferred.
• Proven experience in sales roles, particularly within the travel or hospitality sector.
• Strong understanding of travel industry products, services, and trends.
• Exceptional sales and customer service skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information and negotiate deals.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for travel and a deep understanding of the distinctive challenges and opportunities within the Nigerian travel consultancy industry.
Other Requirements
• Previous experience in the travel and tourism industry, accounting, insurance, or related fields.
• Proficiency in communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to engage potential clients and maintain meticulous client data records.
• Proficient in both written and verbal English.
• Conversant with MS Office packages.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, embrace challenges, and assume additional responsibilities with gusto.
