Milling Operator (Benin City)

Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor cassava milling equipment such as hammer mills, raspers, or graters.
Feed raw cassava tubers into the milling system and maintain continuous throughput.
Check and adjust machine parameters (speed, feed rate, blade sharpness, etc.) for optimal grinding efficiency.
Monitor consistency and particle size of milled cassava mash as per quality standards.
Perform pre-start checks and routine equipment cleaning.
Ensure timely removal of fibrous waste or peel residue from the process line.
Conduct minor maintenance, such as lubrication, filter cleaning, and screen changes.
Record shift production data including input-output quantity, downtime, and maintenance logs.
Report any mechanical issues or abnormal equipment behavior to the maintenance team.
Adhere to safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines within the milling area.

Qualifications:
High school / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Food Processing, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in cassava or similar root crop processing (milling/grating/crushing).
Familiarity with cassava processing operations (especially for starch or ethanol production) is a plus.
