Job Description

The Laundry Manager oversees the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service, and adherence to hygiene standards. They manage staff, maintain equipment, control inventory, and ensure that all laundry processes meet the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency. This role is crucial in environments where large volumes of linens, uniforms, and fabrics need to be cleaned and maintained, such as hotels, restaurants, hospitals, or industrial laundries.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the laundry department.
Plan, organize, and execute laundry processes, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
Ensure that linens, uniforms, and other fabrics are cleaned to the highest standards.
Maintain a smooth workflow by effectively scheduling staff and managing workloads.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and hygiene standards.
Assign tasks and monitor productivity levels.
Inspect cleaned items to ensure quality and cleanliness.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to laundry services.
Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high service standards.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, detergents, and equipment.
Conduct regular maintenance checks on laundry equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and equipment servicing.
Prepare budgets and manage operational costs.
Monitor and control resource usage to minimize waste and expenses.
Prepare and present monthly reports on laundry operations and expenses.
Ensure that all laundry operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Interact with clients to understand their laundry requirements and ensure satisfaction.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in hospitality management is an advantage.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, healthcare facility, or large-scale laundry operation.
Proven experience managing a team.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in inventory and budget management.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Knowledge of laundry chemicals, fabric care, and stain removal techniques.
