Job Description

The Head of Bulk Trading is responsible for leading the bulk trading operations of the company, focusing on procurement, sales, risk management, and profitability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and negotiation skills to manage trading activities, supplier relationships, and client accounts, ensuring optimal pricing, compliance, and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the bulk trading strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Lead procurement and sales of bulk commodities (e.g., oil, gas, agricultural products, industrial materials).
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, customers, agents, and logistics partners.
• Monitor market trends, prices, and competitor activities to identify trading opportunities.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and terms with suppliers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant trading regulations, quality standards, and internal policies.
• Oversee risk assessment and hedging strategies to minimize exposure.
• Lead and mentor the trading team, ensuring performance targets and KPIs are met.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams to ensure efficient execution of trade deals.
• Prepare and present reports on trading performance, forecasts, and strategies to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 7+ years of experience in commodity or bulk trading, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of international and local markets relevant to the traded commodities.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proven track record in managing high-value deals and improving profit margins.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in trading software and financial modeling tools.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
