Job Description
Location: Lekki-Ajah
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our IT team and support our expanding infrastructure needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
• Monitor network performance and perform regular system audits.
• Use tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds for network diagnostics.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices.
• Maintain user access, permissions, and network policies.
• Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and system migrations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for networking issues.
• Ensure timely backups and network documentation.
Technical Skills & Requirements:
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, routing protocols).
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments.
• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
• Sound knowledge of network security, firewalls, and best practices.
Preferred Certifications:
• CompTIA Network+ – required
• Cisco CCNA – highly preferred
Qualifications:
• BSc/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
