Job Description
Location: Calabar
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices in a similar industry.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and environmental concerns in the workplace.
• Coordinate and conduct employee training programs on health, safety, and environmental awareness, including emergency response procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure effective implementation of HSE policies and procedures throughout the organization.
• Maintain records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
• Monitor and evaluate workplace exposures to hazardous materials and develop control measures to minimize risks to employees and the environment.
• Stay informed about changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a health, safety, and environment role, preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Certification in occupational health and safety is an added advantage.
