We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in driving growth and expanding our network of partners, clients, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the innovation landscape and a proven track record in business development, particularly in technology and innovation sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes and analyze market data to develop insights and strategies for business growth.
2. Develop and implement business development strategies to meet organizational goal and Identify new markets and customer needs, and develop tailored strategies to address them.
3. Identify and build relationships with potential partners, clients, and stakeholders. Also, negotiate and close partnership agreements that align with our strategic objectives.
4. Represent Seedbuilders Innovation Hub at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
5. Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals by developing proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
6. Achieve revenue targets and contribute to the financial growth of the innovation hub.
7. Manage business development projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery and coordinate with internal teams to align business development efforts with overall organizational goals.
8. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development whilst providing regular updates to senior management on business development activities and progress.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in an innovation or technology-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of the innovation and technology sectors.
• Proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
