Job Description

Job Title: Brand Manager
Reports To: Senior Brand Manager
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

The job responsibilities:
• Carrying out marketing research to keep up to date with customer trends, predict future trends as well as analyze competitor performance and market trends to provide recommendations for the brand.
• Develop strategies and manage marketing campaigns across print, broadcast, and online platforms to build brand love and credibility of brand.
• Collaborating with the rest of the brand management team to conceptualize brand messaging approaches.
• Drive brand/s portfolio with unique proposition to instigate consumer trials.
• Continuously monitor market trends while keeping a close eye on competitive products
• Be the custodian of brand assets, maintain brand integrity across all marketing initiatives and communications.
• Responsible for overseeing consistency in design across ATL/BTL /Campaigns.
• Use customer and trend research to create strategies that will change how people perceive the brand.
• Responsible for cross functional alignment on innovation pipeline and marketing campaigns.
• Analyzing the success of marketing campaigns and creating reports.
• Supervising advertising, product design and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in brand elements and assets including managing promotional collateral.
• Assisting with product development, pricing and new product launches as well as developing new business opportunities.
• Analyze financial metrics, monitor brand awareness in trade, organize promotional campaigns, and delivery of promotional solutions for newly launched products.
• Monitor and control expenses within allotted budget.
• Track marketing parameters such as pricing, awareness, and brand optimization.
• Provide necessary assistance to marketing manager in all activities pertaining to brand building.
• Report all identified Food Safety issues to line manager or departmental food safety team.

Requirements
• Degree in Business, Advertising and Marketing, Economics or Social Sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years’ cognitive experience in brand management.
• Ability to think strategically and come up with campaigns and ideas on how to improve brand messaging and design when needed.
• Ability to apply basic marketing concepts used in the development of marketing plans.
• Ability to apply marketing operating strategies used in the execution of marketing plans.
• Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas, and is able to detect long-term brand marketing opportunities and shed a different light on the existing practices.
• Excellent knowledge of consumer goods landscape (current/relevant industry trends).
