Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Officer
Reports to: Department Head
Location: lekki
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring goods, services, and works for our subsidiaries, including supermarkets, restaurants, salons, facility management, and real estate. The Procurement Officer will ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning:
- Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies for our subsidiaries.
- Identify and prioritize procurement needs, and ensure that they are aligned with business objectives.
2. Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Source and evaluate suppliers for goods, services, and works.
- Conduct market research, analyze supplier data, and assess supplier performance.
3. Tendering and Contracting:
- Prepare and issue tenders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotations (RFQs).
- Evaluate tenders, RFPs, and RFQs, and recommend suppliers for contract award.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers.
4. Procurement Execution:
- Place orders, manage inventory, and track deliveries.
- Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
5. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, and address any issues or concerns.
6. Cost Management:
- Analyze procurement costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, and monitor their effectiveness.
7. Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and submit procurement reports, including procurement plans, tender reports, and contract reports.
- Ensure that all procurement activities are compliant with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in supermarkets, restaurant ,and other big organization
2. Technical Skills:
- Proficient in procurement software, such as SAP, Oracle, or Ariba.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
3. Certifications and Licenses:
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification (or equivalent).
