Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team in the rigid boxes and packaging segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging materials and solutions, a proven sales track record, and the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities. Develop B2B sales activities. You will be instrumental in establishing the new product line. Building our client base, building relationships with key stakeholders, and growing our market share in premium packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and target new business opportunities within the luxury and commercial packaging sectors (e.g., cosmetics, electronics, jewellery, fashion).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
• Understand client needs and propose tailored packaging solutions, including rigid boxes, custom printed boxes, and speciality packaging.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, Total available markets and potential gaps in the market.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and quotations.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the production and design teams to ensure client specifications and timelines are met.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, opportunities, and sales activities using Tally tools.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on performance metrics and business development activities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the packaging or printing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of rigid box manufacturing, materials (paperboard, chipboard, etc.), finishing options, and packaging trends.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet/exceed targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Strong internet savvy and presence.
• Existing network in the luxury packaging, FMCG, or retail sectors.
• Understanding of sustainability trends in packaging.
• Experience working with design and production teams to develop custom packaging solutions.
